VICTOR URIBE PT, DPT, MS, CSCS

Victor’s road to Silver Spring Wellness is a bit non traditional. A Texas native, he always expected to join the military as that was the family trade. However, right before he enlisted his family encouraged him to go to school instead. In the year 2014 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at El Paso. Victor continued his education at Texas Tech University and graduated with a Master's Degree in Kinesiology. In 2017 he entered the DPT program at New York University. He then set his sights on becoming a physical therapist for the Oakland Raiders due to his love of sports and football. At NYU he was introduced to the worlds of dance, theater and performing arts medicine. His dream pivoted once again as his passion changed because he enjoyed the challenges and rewards of working with this type of athlete much more (plus the Raiders moved to Las Vegas).

Since graduating from NYU's Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program, his most notable credits include working with the Gibney Dance Company and being the original physical therapist for their "open to the dance community free PT sessions.” In 2021 he joined My Fair Lady national tour. Additionally, Victor was a physical therapist for the national tours of Frozen and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Toni Stone Musical and recently for Only Gold at the MCC theater in NYC. He has provided PT Alvin Ailey II Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company. Dr. Victor is a certified male pelvic floor therapist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Victor's ultimate goal is to bring value to all of his sessions in whatever way that means for his client - finding the issue, helping to fix it, helping achieve physical goals, improving mobility, improving strength, decreasing pain. He really loves learning and experimenting to help achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Victor combines knowledge from his wide variety of experiences to help restore the function of the entire individual so they can return to performing quickly and efficiently, thus continuing to chase the dream.
